How did you get into surfing, and more recently, foiling?
I started surfing when I was around 11 years old. Since then, I have never stopped. Living now in Nazaré, foiling has been amazing to keep having fun and training between big swells. Wing foiling and foiling are also the best way to stay in the ocean when the conditions are not so great for surfing.
What do you do before getting in the water?
I check the conditions and choose the right gear. This can take a lot of time for me to decide because I always want to do everything!
Tell us about your best memory on the water.
There are a few… I would say one giant wave in Nazaré with Fred [David] in 2020, a big barrel at Jaws with Michel Larronde in 2021, and hours of downwind foil in Tahiti surrounded by whales and friends.
Worst wipeout?
Probably the one I had in Jaws in 2018. I dislocated my shoulder and tore my knee getting smashed by a big set.
Who would you like to say thank you to?
I want to thank everybody who has been sharing all these incredible memories with me. And special thanks to Patrice Chanzy for being so nice and helpful when we come to Tahiti!
A few words on your F-ONE quiver.
I love the EAGLE 890, 4’2 ROCKET WING-S and the HM Carbon Mast 80… I have so many great memories riding with this quiver in Tahiti.
